Subseries H: Photographs

This subseries is primarily comprised of photographs of Edward Hopper (including many with Josephine Nivison Hopper) and of photographs of Edward Hopper paintings. The majority of images are professional photographs taken for publications or promotional purposes, and include photographs by Berenice Abbott, Bernard Hoffman, and George Platt Lynes. A smaller amount of amateur or candid photographs includes images of Edward Hopper as a young man and images of Edward and Josephine on Cape Cod.

Most photographs are black and white photographic prints, though some items are images of Edward Hopper works clipped from paper media.
