Frequent topics of correspondence include congratulations on professional achievements, admiration of Edward Hopper’s paintings, discussion of Reality magazine, and the issue of New York University acquiring property adjacent to Washington Square Park in 1947. Several letters are addressed to Josephine Nivison Hopper, or to both Hoppers. Some drafts of responses from Edward Hopper are included as well.
